Email Tierline

Your email app opens to compose a message to this address. Please do not attach recordings, restricted cultural knowledge or private details; if material needs to change hands, that is arranged first, under the steward’s terms.

What to write about

Four kinds of message

Each link opens your email app with a subject line, so your message reaches the right reader first. The address is the same: tierline.archives@gmail.com.

If you run a language program, archive or museum

Tell us what material you hold, which task is consuming time, and what restrictions apply. Nothing needs to be signed to have a conversation, and no material should change hands before a written agreement covers access, protocol, handling and withdrawal. The partners page shows how the current collaborations are set up.

Write about this: If you run a language program, archive or museumSubject: Archive or community collaboration

If you work on speech, retrieval or evaluation

Criticism of the retrieval architecture, the evaluation design or the offline deployment model is welcome. The most useful message names a specific figure on Evaluation or a stage on How it works.

Write about this: If you work on speech, retrieval or evaluationSubject: Research or technical question

Rights, corrections and withdrawal

If something here is inaccurate, describes your work or your community wrongly, or uses material that should not be public, write and it will be corrected or withdrawn.

Write about this: Rights, corrections and withdrawalSubject: Rights, correction or withdrawal request

Accessibility

If any part of the site, the Workspace or the film does not work with your browser, assistive technology or settings, tell us what you were trying to do and what happened.

Write about this: AccessibilitySubject: Accessibility

For anything else, use the address above. You can try the search on the example recordings in Explore, or on your own recordings in the Workspace, before writing; the organizations on Resources do the language work itself.

Prepare a conversation

A brief for a first conversation

Four questions that make a first conversation useful. “Email this brief” opens your own email app with your answers written into a message to tierline.archives@gmail.com; nothing is sent until you send it there. You can also download the brief and share it however you prefer. The site does not store your answers.

Please do not include recordings, restricted knowledge, private names or sensitive personal details.
